The Writer's Circle: Jim McCraigh - American Faith & Freedom
Highlighting Writers On My Blogroll - Check Them Out & Give Them a Shout
I became an instant fan when I started reading
’s American Faith & Freedom a few months ago.As the tagline of his Substack newsletter states, Jim has a unique way of highlighting the absurd cultural and political atmosphere by providing commentary on “Today's issues viewed through a Biblical lens...”
His article, 96% of "Christians" Don't Pass this Litmus Test... is a must-read eye-opener and illustrates why there is even a need to write about these issues. So-called “Christians” today are Biblically ignorant. Many are counterfeits - imposters.
Ignorance has overtaken righteousness, selflessness has been replaced by selfishness, mindlessness has devoured discernment, truth has given over to a lie, and comfort is sought after, even at the cost of one’s own soul.
Mark 8:36 For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?
Jim continues to put all this in perspective with every post while encouraging Christians to stand true.
Jude 1:3 exhorts, “Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.”
Interestingly, Jude found it necessary, even in that early day of the Church age, to “contend” against the unGodliness going on..
May I suggest that Jim McCraigh is the Jude of our time, faithfully exhorting us spiritually, mentally, and emotionally to be prepared to fight the good fight of faith.
