The Writer's Circle: Curtice Mang - The Rights, er, Writes of Man(g)
Move Over Babylon Bee: Serious Satire At Its Best -Humorous Illustrations to Portray the Scary Nature of Today's Political Climate.
The Babylon Bee has nothing on Curtice Mang.
Using humor to capture the not-so-humorous absurdity of the current political and cultural realm, Curtice has mastered the art of satire with his laugh-out-loud, The Rights, er, Writes of Man(g) newsletter.
Nothing is off the table - the skewer waves to and fro seeking whom it may poke.
To be honest, I don’t know how he comes up with so much funny stuff on an almost daily basis. On top of that, his paid subscribers get a weekly bonus - a News of the Week post each Friday morning highlighting the myriad of other things because, seriously, there is just too much happening to capture in the daily posts.
I mean, does his mind even have an off-switch?
I feel like I have known Curtice for a lifetime, but we’ve never actually met in person. He is a good friend of a good friend.
Curtice is the author of several books of political satire and sports trivia -
The Constitution - I'm Not Kidding and Other Tales of Liberal Folly.
The Ultimate Football Super-Fan Trivia Book: 700 Questions to Put Die-Hard Fans to the Test
And if all that is not enough, Curtice is co-host of the Some Things Considered political podcast (hosted on Substack)- a more serious look at today’s political landscape, along with Jennifer Meadows, and our mutual friend, Richard Moore who publishes the Richard Moore, In-depth political newsletter on Substack.
From the Some Things Considered About Page:
“(Curtice) strongly believes that humor is a must for getting through life and he’s always grateful to the politicians and many other public figures who provide an almost endless supply of material.”
Check him out and give him a shout - Then get ready to laugh out loud …
