Dear Subscribers,
First of all, I want to thank the tons of recent subscribers to Life UnCorked.
You will never know how special it is to see the subscriber list growing because people are interested in what I have to say.
It is exciting.
As many of you know, I started the Life UnCorked newsletter as soon as I retired.
First, because I always wanted to write when I grew up.
Second, after seven decades of breathing air, I may have a few tips about successful living, from family life to finances and everything in between.
As I write from a Christian worldview, much of it will have a spiritual application.
My faith is extremely important to me. It has helped me get through so many, shall I say “interesting” circumstances throughout my life, so I write about it here.
Recently, I made a move to put the Weekly Focus section behind a paywall beginning July 1 and rewrote the email header to reflect that change.
Since that time, I have given this a great deal of thought and have decided not to for several reasons.
Since retiring, God has richly blessed us with all our financial, healthcare , and general life needs. I do not need additional income from writing and it was not why I began the newsletter in the first place.
Adding a paywall would limit the distribution of certain posts each week. That is not something I want to do.
It is a joy and privilege to share my life with others in hopes that some small thing may benefit someone else.
With all that said, for the foreseeable future, Life UnCorked will remain a free publication.
All I ask of you is to spread the word and share with your friends and family if you see benefit from the posts each week.
And please feel free to interact in the comments and/or Notes. I want to know what sort of experiences you have had to bring to the table. Maybe you can help me through that next “storm”.
